How to Customize Units in QuickSight

You're probably here because of how frustratingly unintuitive and laborious Amazon has created the process of making this simple adjustment: customizing the units of a field value for value fields within QuickSight.
This may be desired when numbers are particularly large and you want them rolled up to units of thousands or millions.
Here's a quick demo, for you visual learners:

Here's the breakdown:
1. Select the Field in the Field Wells
Click the three-dot menu (⋮) of your desire field in the visual's field wells.
2. Hover Over “Format: 1,234.57”
3. Select “More formatting options…”
I know, I know. Why there are more than three steps to this process is beyond me. We're almost there.
4. Select “Units”
5. Select Your Desired Unit
Change to thousands, millions, etc., or choose to see it as "No units"
Each be covered in other posts, but you will likely notice that in this “Format Data” window you also have the ability to change your value Separators, the Decimal Places you want to see, how you want to see Negatives, and customize Null values, if desired.
